Fundraising Continues Until January 31 Next Year
Target Amount Set at 823 Million Won
Yeongju City is running the 'Hope 2026 Sharing Campaign' until January 31 next year to promote a culture of local sharing.
This year's campaign, under the slogan "Donations that Add Happiness, Transforming Yeongju through Giving," aims to raise a total of 823 million won.
To announce the start of the campaign, the city held a 'Fruit of Love Badge' event in the City Hall lobby on December 1. Yoo Junggeun, Acting Mayor of Yeongju City, Jeong Okhee, Head of the Fruit of Love Volunteer Group, and its members participated in the event, joining the first round of donations and helping to spread the spirit of sharing.
Donations can be made through a variety of methods, including dedicated media accounts, Fruit of Love accounts at financial institutions, contactless donations via QR code, and ARS. For more information, citizens can contact the city's Welfare Policy Division or the administrative welfare centers in each town, township, or neighborhood.
Jeong Okhee, Head of the Volunteer Group, said, "The Fruit of Love is like a vessel that holds the warm hearts of our citizens," adding, "We will actively work to ensure that hope reaches neighbors in need."
Acting Mayor Yoo Junggeun emphasized, "Small acts of sharing can bring about great change," and added, "The participation of our staff will be a significant support for neighbors facing economic hardship." He continued, "I hope Yeongju becomes a city where hope is created together and happiness is shared together."
