No Workouts at the Gym... 200 Naked Men Arrested in Mass Raid, Including South Koreans
Illegal Prostitution Operation Disguised as Health Center
Numerous Foreigners, Including South Koreans, Among Those Caught
A men-only "health center" in downtown Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, was found to have been operating as an illegal prostitution establishment, leading police to arrest 201 customers at once. Among those apprehended, some were confirmed to be foreigners, including South Koreans.
On November 30 (local time), Malaysian media outlets such as The Star reported that police raided a health center in the Chow Kit area of Kuala Lumpur and discovered naked men inside.
The establishment presented itself as a typical wellness facility equipped with a sauna, jacuzzi, gym, and swimming pool. However, authorities uncovered evidence that "inappropriate activities," including prostitution between male clients, were routinely taking place inside.
After several days of undercover surveillance, police simultaneously arrested both the operators and the customers. Among those detained were professionals such as doctors, teachers, and prosecutors. One doctor stated, "I came here to rest and avoid traffic congestion," and admitted, "I was aware of what was happening."
Of the 201 customers, 24 were foreigners, including individuals from South Korea, Germany, China, and Indonesia. In addition, 80 Muslim men are under investigation for violating Federal Territory Syariah Law Section 29 (acts of indecency), while the remaining individuals are being charged under Section 387B of the Penal Code (unnatural sexual acts).

It was confirmed that the customers paid an initial registration fee of 10 ringgit (approximately 3,500 won) and a fee of 35 ringgit (about 12,000 won) per visit. Of the 201 people arrested, 171 were released after the court rejected the police request for further detention. Police are continuing to verify the identities and charges of those involved.
