Uiryeong County Signs MOU with Mojandeul and Jeonju Bean Sprout Agricultural Cooperatives
Expansion of Sales Channels for Namul Soybeans from Uiryeong
Strengthening Cooperation Among Producers, Consumers, and Local Government
Uiryeong County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on December 1 that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on November 28 in the conference room on the second floor of the county office with Jeonju Bean Sprout Agricultural Cooperative Corporation and Mojandeul Agricultural Cooperative Corporation. The agreement aims to establish a stable production and supply system for Namul soybeans produced in Uiryeong.
This agreement is intended to support soybean farmers who have faced difficulties due to price fluctuations and a lack of consumer outlets. It is particularly significant as Uiryeong County has taken the initiative to secure sales channels and achieved tangible results. With the establishment of a stable sales foundation, the competitiveness of this regional strategic crop is expected to be further strengthened.

Going forward, the county plans to shift the distribution structure toward contract-based farming, thereby reducing the risk of price fluctuations and directly connecting production areas with consumption sites to ease logistical burdens.
