'Top-Class' Medical Collaboration: Ulsan University Hospital Presents Certificate of Appreciation to Eliya Hospital
Partner Hospital Symposium Recognizes Excellence
Outstanding Performance in Patient Referrals, Returns, and Collaborative Activities
A successful collaboration model between a tertiary hospital and a small-to-medium-sized hospital in the Ulsan region has been presented.
Ulsan Eliya Hospital (Director Jung Younghwan, orthopedic specialist) was recognized as an outstanding partner institution and received a certificate of appreciation at the 10th Ulsan University Hospital Partner Hospital Symposium, which was held at 7 p.m. on November 27 in the Astor Hall on the first basement floor of Ulsan Lotte Hotel. The hospital was selected for its excellent performance in patient referrals, returns, and collaborative activities.

View original imageThe symposium, hosted by Ulsan University Hospital (Director Park Jongha), was held under the theme of "Establishing a Regional, Self-Sufficient Healthcare Delivery System." It served as a platform to share the achievements of collaborative care over the past ten years and to explore future development strategies. More than 80 partner medical institutions and over 200 medical professionals from Ulsan and the entire Yeongnam region participated in the event.
The symposium included a keynote lecture, presentations on the results of patient referrals and returns, awards for outstanding partner medical institutions, and a commemorative photo session.
Director Jung Younghwan, who received the certificate of appreciation, stated, "Ulsan Eliya Hospital will continue to do its utmost to create an environment where residents of Buk-gu, Ulsan can receive high-quality medical services through close cooperation with excellent tertiary hospitals. In particular, during the upcoming hospital expansion and renovation, we will benchmark the outstanding medical systems and innovative services of institutions such as Ulsan University Hospital and focus all our efforts on becoming a hospital that local residents can trust."

Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2026, Ulsan Eliya Hospital plans to take the lead as a key regional general hospital by expanding its facilities to include new rehabilitation and infectious disease wards, an intensive care unit, and additional operating and emergency rooms. Through these efforts, the hospital aims to play a pivotal role in treating critical and emergency patients and promoting community health.
