Kia EV5 Advertising Campaign Wins Two Awards at Korea Advertising Awards
Kia announced on December 1 that its advertising campaign for the mid-size sports utility vehicle (SUV) EV5 has won the Grand Prize in the Print category and the Silver Award in the TV Video category at the 2025 Korea Advertising Awards.
The Korea Advertising Awards, organized by the Korea Federation of Advertising Associations, is the most prestigious advertising festival in Korea, having been held since 1994. Each year, more than 2,000 works are submitted for consideration.
The EV5 advertising campaign creatively captured the value of "special moments with family" that the electrified family SUV EV5 aims to deliver, earning the distinction of winning in two categories.
The "The Kia with Five Guys" campaign, which won the Grand Prize in the Print category, was produced in collaboration with the global premium food and beverage brand Five Guys.
The print advertisement featured a simple and intuitive visual of the EV5 wrapped in Five Guys' signature burger foil, and was displayed in major stores such as Gangnam Station, Apgujeong, and Seoul Station. The campaign was praised for generating maximum curiosity with minimal visuals and effectively raising awareness of the EV5.

View original imageThe collaboration with Five Guys also included a pop-up store at Seongsu Kia Unplugged Ground from September 12 to 21, where approximately 6,000 customers visited over 10 days to experience the EV5 and enjoy burgers, generating a positive response.
The launch advertisement "The Family SUEV," which won the Silver Award in the TV Video category, was created under the concept of "EV5 Happy Day." Actors Choi Daehun and Kang Malgeum, who appeared in the Netflix series "When Life Gives You Tangerines," played a married couple, humorously portraying the journey of a family from the start of their trip to driving and relaxing. The ad was praised for naturally highlighting the spaciousness and advanced convenience features of the EV5, effectively conveying the characteristics of a compact electric SUV and resonating with consumers.
A Kia representative stated, "It is meaningful that the family-oriented values pursued by the EV5 have been well received through various forms of advertising campaigns," adding, "We will continue to communicate Kia's values through creative marketing that resonates with our customers' lives."
