Since the launch of the 8th popularly elected administration in 2022, the city has continued its "All-Dong On-Site Communication Administration" by visiting all 44 neighborhoods each year for four consecutive years to listen to local issues directly.
The city has steadily strengthened its practical communication approach by visiting residents in their daily lives, listening to their inconveniences and requests for improvement firsthand, and immediately discussing solutions with relevant departments. This year’s meetings, in particular, were characterized by their focus on “closer on-site listening,” held in spaces selected for each neighborhood’s unique characteristics and accessibility.
A large number of residents from each neighborhood attended the meetings, raising a variety of issues related to living environment, safety, and infrastructure. The mayor, district heads, and heads of relevant departments attended together, providing detailed explanations of the current status and future plans for each suggestion, and outlining the process for incorporating residents’ feedback into city policies.

In Neunggok-dong, residents requested improvements to pedestrian conditions, such as underground walkways and overpasses, due to increased walking inconvenience for Daejang-dong residents following the opening of the Gyoe Line. They also called for the installation of sewage pipelines to resolve wastewater and odor issues caused by the absence of such infrastructure in Daejang-dong and Naegok-dong, as well as road widening to address the narrow and sharply curved sections of Sinpyeong-gil.
In Hwajeong 1-dong, residents requested a complete overhaul of the aging facilities at Gaenari Children’s Park, including restrooms, fences, and pergolas. They also asked for the relocation and provision of a stable activity space for the voluntary police outpost, which had been closed due to ground subsidence; repairs to sidewalk blocks and installation of safety fences along the Chungjang-ro section (from Paikdabang to Eoullim Gas Station); and the creation of a barefoot walking trail (red clay path) in Eunbit Park, among other suggestions to improve the living and park environments.
In Baekseok 2-dong, residents requested regular crackdowns to resolve pedestrian inconvenience and aesthetic damage caused by illegal street stalls near Exit 4 of Baekseok Station. They also called for the reinstatement of the "Mobile Bicycle Repair Center," considering the high bicycle usage among youth and seniors in the area, and proposed measures to enhance accessibility for wheelchair users at restaurants, such as mandatory installation of ramps.

They also requested adjustments to parking zones and changes to the centerline on the Bamgasi Village (Complexes 1-8) passageway to address visibility issues and accident risks caused by two-way parking. Additionally, they suggested increasing meeting allowances and operational budgets for the Residents’ Council to improve conditions for community activities.
In Tanhyeon 2-dong, residents demanded practical transportation improvements, such as increasing the number of 066A village buses and reducing intervals between buses, in anticipation of increased use of GTX-A Kintex Station. They also requested environmental maintenance measures, such as installing fences around the planned Goyang Tanhyeon public housing district and dredging drainage channels on both sides of the access road, to minimize hollowing out and safety issues during the project’s development.
At each meeting, the mayor personally presented certificates of appreciation to two residents from each neighborhood who have contributed to community development and activities, expressing gratitude for their dedication.
