View original imageAccording to Chuncheon City, a total of 2,660 households across three complexes have been completed in the Hakgok District, starting with 'Moa Elga Grande' last year, followed by 'Moa Elga Vista' and 'Junghe Maruhill Forest' this year, with residents moving in sequentially. As a result, vehicle traffic during school and commuting hours has surged, leading to significant congestion at intersections.
In response, the city plans to implement a phased 'Traffic Signal Coordination Improvement Service' from next year to optimize signal systems throughout Chuncheon. For the Hakgok District, the city will begin reviewing improvement measures based on traffic volume analysis and on-site feedback.
On the 27th, Mayor Yook Donghan visited the site during commuting hours to observe the actual traffic flow. He checked vehicle movement, pedestrian routes, and the signal system, sharing necessary improvements with the team.
