The award recognizes creative and dedicated public servants who strive to enhance public convenience in the field of civil petitions.
Lee has worked in civil petition administration for over 25 years, leading various innovative policies to realize citizen-centered governance. Notably, she established the nation’s first “Foreign Language UI Support Service for Unmanned Civil Petition Issuing Machines,” supporting four languages, including Vietnamese, for seven types of civil petition documents such as marriage certificates, greatly improving accessibility for foreign residents. This service has had a significant ripple effect, being benchmarked by 50 local governments nationwide.
In addition, Lee has spearheaded numerous policies directly impacting residents’ daily lives, such as making the issuance fee for mobile resident registration card IC chips completely free, waiving all issuance fees for unmanned civil petition machines, operating 24-hour unmanned civil petition machines in all towns and townships within the county, and launching a scholarship program for out-of-school youth. Through these efforts, she has demonstrated both tangible benefits and proactive governance.
