The concert, held at Prima Art Hall in Cheomdan 2 District, Buk-gu, Gwangju, featured violinists Jinseong Lee and Junsung Lee, violist Hongsik Jung, and cellist Dasol Kim, heightening the audience's anticipation.
The first part of the concert captivated the late autumn audience with a program that began with the first movement of Mozart's "Eine kleine Nachtmusik," followed by Elgar's "Salut d'Amour," Beethoven's "Ich liebe dich," Brahms' "Hungarian Dance No. 5," and Gardel's "Scent of a Woman." Sometimes lively, sometimes lyrical, the melodies reflected the autumn night, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience busy welcoming another season.

Dmitri Shostakovich's String Quartet No. 8, Op. 110, is well known as one of Shostakovich's most personal and autobiographical works. It was composed in just three days in July 1960, after he witnessed the devastation of Dresden, Germany, a city left in ruins by war. The piece, filled with gloom, despair, and political oppression, created a dark and deeply introspective atmosphere throughout, reflecting its autobiographical nature.
One audience member commented, "The concert was filled with late autumn love and lyricism, but then suddenly shifted to a subdued mood, unfolding in an up-and-down pattern that reminded me of the typically unpredictable autumn weather."
