GIST Holds Technology Management Academy Graduation Ceremony; 20 Million KRW Development Fund Donated

View original imageThe Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) announced on November 27 that the Technology Management Academy (GTMBA) held its 15th graduation ceremony, along with a donation ceremony for the 20 million KRW development fund collected by the graduates.
The event, held at the multipurpose hall of Oryong Hall on the same day, was attended by President Lim Kicheol, GIST executives and staff, and approximately 60 participants including the 15th graduating class.
The 44 graduates of the 15th GTMBA class, who completed the 30-week program, received certificates of completion signed by the president. Jang Hansang, CEO of Hyundai Conveyor Co., Ltd. and president of the 15th alumni association, received the Innovation Leader Award.
Since its launch in 2010, the GTMBA has aimed to cultivate business leaders through systematic CEO education, and to date, about 620 alumni are actively contributing to various sectors of society.
This program begins every March and runs through December as a 30-week course, with lectures held every Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Oryong Hall, GIST. Applications for the 16th class, scheduled for 2026, are currently open.
President Jang Hansang stated, "We decided to donate the development fund together with fellow alumni out of our desire to see GIST grow as a world-class institution for science and engineering education and research. I sincerely thank the GTMBA staff for providing such a high-quality educational program, and as a GIST alumnus, I will contribute to the development of the university and the revitalization of the local economy."
