Cheongdo County to Close Applications for "FTA Fund High-Quality Fruit Facility Modernization Project" on December 12
Applications Accepted Only for Those with Shipment Records to Agricultural Cooperatives in the Past Five Years
Cheongdo County (Governor Kim Hasu) announced that it will accept applications for the "2026 FTA Fund High-Quality Fruit Facility Modernization Project" through local agricultural cooperatives until December 12. This project aims to support the establishment of a foundation for the safe production of high-quality fruits, cost reduction, and productivity improvement in response to the opening of agricultural imports.
Eligible crops include peaches, astringent persimmons, apples, plums, and grapes. Farmers who have registered as agricultural business entities and cultivate orchards of at least 1,000 square meters established before December 31, 2024, are eligible to apply.
For disaster prevention facilities, orchards established after 2024 are also eligible to apply.
In particular, starting this year, only those who have shipped produce to agricultural cooperatives within the past five years are eligible to apply.
Support includes trellis facilities (umbrella type, individual type, Y-type, training wires), irrigation and fertilization facilities (sprinklers, drip irrigation), groundwater wells, variety renewal (peach, apple, grape, plum), windbreak nets, drainage facilities (perforated pipes), wild animal prevention facilities (electric fences, wire fences, bird nets), rain shelters (peach, grape), and frost/hail prevention facilities (micro-spray devices). The total project budget is 1.2 billion won, with 50% provided as subsidies (20% from the national government, 30% from local government) and 50% as self-funding (of which 30% can be financed through loans).
