Shinhanul Unit 1 Reaches 100% Output After Completing Second Scheduled Preventive Maintenance
Hanul Nuclear Power Site of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (Director Lee Seyong) announced, "Shinhanul Unit 1 (pressurized water reactor, 1.4 million kW class), which began its scheduled preventive maintenance on August 25, resumed power generation on November 25 and reached 100% output at approximately 8:30 a.m. on November 27."
During the second scheduled preventive maintenance period, Shinhanul Unit 1 carried out various equipment inspections and maintenance, including fuel replacement, a complete disassembly inspection of the reactor coolant pump, and an inspection of the steam generator tubes, thereby enhancing equipment reliability. The unit also underwent statutory inspections in accordance with the Nuclear Safety Act.
