The Gumi Office of Education in North Gyeongsang Province (headed by Superintendent Min Byungdo) announced that on the 26th, it held a "2026 Academic Year Middle School Admission Work Training Session" for 65 elementary school teachers in the Gumi area at the first-floor multipurpose auditorium of the Gumi Office of Education.
This training was organized to accurately share the 2026 academic year middle school admission work plans and management guidelines of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Office of Education and the Gumi Office of Education with frontline schools, and to maximize transparency and fairness by minimizing administrative errors that may occur during the assignment process for new students.

In particular, the session included detailed explanations of new or strengthened guidelines for the 2026 academic year, as well as a Q&A session to address questions from the field. Participating teachers carefully reviewed major changes directly related to ensuring fairness, such as the revised assignment principles, procedures for assigning students to special areas, and standards for processing documents, thereby broadening their understanding of the assignment process.
This was followed by in-depth training on the core of the middle school admission assignment work: the "2026 Academic Year Middle School Admission Assignment Program Usage."
Kim Joungho, a teacher from Namgye Elementary School, served as the instructor, providing a hands-on, detailed explanation of the program’s specific operation, data entry and verification procedures, and response strategies for various types of errors that may occur during the assignment process. This helped raise the program proficiency of the staff responsible for these tasks to a professional level.
