Photo Exhibition to Commemorate the First Selection of Preliminary Cultural Heritage Items
December 1-15 at the House of Yi Sang
Ten Items Including Kim Dae-jung's Nobel Peace Prize Medal on Display
A photo exhibition commemorating the first selection of preliminary cultural heritage items will be held.
The National Heritage Administration announced on the 27th that it will host the photo exhibition "Beyond What We Dreamed" at the House of Yi Sang in Tongin-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, from December 1 to 15.
Ten high-resolution photographs of preliminary cultural heritage items will be displayed under ten themes: "Aspiration," "Harmony," "Nation," "Peace," "Non-possession," "Devotion," "Prosperity," "Justice," "Challenge," and "Pioneering." Featured items include the "President Kim Dae-jung Nobel Peace Prize Medal and Certificate" and "Venerable Beopjeong's Papillon Chair." The films "Venerable Beopjeong's Chair" and "Marianne and Margaret" will also be screened.
The recently selected preliminary cultural heritage items include the President Kim Dae-jung Nobel Peace Prize Medal and Certificate, Venerable Beopjeong's Papillon Chair, "Sorokdo Marianne and Margaret's Medical and Nursing Tools," "Uiseong Automatic Matchstick Manufacturing Machine," "Lee Hanyeol Tear Gas Canister Injury Relics," "21st Montreal Olympic Games Gold Medal in Wrestling by Yang Jeongmo," "41st Chiba World Table Tennis Championships Inter-Korean Unified Team Memorial," "Korean Antarctic Research Expedition and King Sejong Station Materials," "1977 Everest Climbing Materials," and "1988 Seoul Olympic Hoop and Costume Sketches."

To commemorate this occasion, the National Heritage Administration will hold a certificate awarding ceremony and an academic conference to establish a future vision for preliminary cultural heritage at the National Palace Museum of Korea on December 1.
