"Enjoy Performances and Games for 1,000 Won"... Incheon to Operate "1,000 Won Culture Ticket" Year-Round Next Year
On November 26, the Incheon city government announced plans to operate its "1,000 Won Culture Ticket" program year-round starting next year.
The 1,000 Won Culture Ticket program offers a variety of content in genres such as culture, sports, and tourism for just 1,000 won. This October, the city designated the month as "Citizen Culture Month" and conducted a pilot operation of the 1,000 Won Culture Ticket for 5,400 citizens.
During this period, citizens enjoyed activities such as attending art performances, watching K League soccer matches, and riding the city tour bus and Wolmi Sea Train, all for 1,000 won. The city plans to continue offering a wide range of cultural experiences and family-friendly performances for 1,000 won next year.
An official from the Incheon city government stated, "We aim to expand the cultural base by increasing opportunities for citizens to engage in everyday cultural activities with their children without financial burden," adding, "We expect that increased cultural consumption will also invigorate the local tourism and cultural industries."
