SK PIC Global Launches Korea's First OCP-Inspired Coolant for AI Data Centers
Dramatic Performance Improvement Over Traditional Methods
Second in the World to Obtain OCP Supplier Qualification
SK PIC Global, a chemical business investment company under SKC, announced on November 26 that it has launched 'HTF (Heat Transfer Fluid) PG25,' an eco-friendly coolant exclusively for artificial intelligence (AI) data centers. HTF PG25 is considered a product optimized for the Direct-to-Chip Liquid Cooling (DLC) method, which directly cools high-temperature components inside servers.

As global IT companies such as NVIDIA adopt the DLC method as the next-generation standard for data centers, this technology is gaining attention as an essential solution for operating high-density servers.
Following its launch, HTF PG25 became the first product in Korea and the second in the world in the DLC coolant sector to receive the 'Inspired' supplier qualification from the global technology collaboration organization, Open Computing Project (OCP). OCP is a global consortium that promotes open collaboration across all technological elements, from semiconductor silicon to servers, networks, and data center facilities. Recently, there has been a growing trend among data center operators to require OCP supplier qualification.
Eco-friendliness is also one of the key strengths of HTF PG25. The product uses SK PIC Global's high-purity propylene glycol (PG), whose safety has already been verified. By using PGUSP (Propylene Glycol USP), which is certified by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), as its raw material, the product ensures both human safety and biodegradability.
SK PIC Global plans to use the product launch as a starting point to actively target the AI data center cooling market. Commercial sales began in Korea in October, and the company intends to expand cooperation with both domestic and international data center operators and solution providers, supplying sustainable and economical cooling solutions worldwide.
