Connecting Outstanding Technologies to SMEs... Kibo Holds Second Half AI Technology Transfer Festa
Over 200 Representatives from SMEs and Related Organizations Attend
22 Public Research Institutes Present 100 Promising Technologies
The Korea Technology Credit Guarantee Fund (Kibo) announced on November 26 that it held the "2025 Second Half Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology Transfer Festa" in collaboration with Smart Tech Bridge at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
This event was organized to connect outstanding AI-based technologies held by public research institutes with small and venture businesses, and to promote technology commercialization through open innovation, thereby enhancing the technological competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Since the second half of 2023, Kibo has been regularly holding the Technology Transfer Festa every half-year. This event, in line with the new government's AI transformation initiative, drew attention with a program supporting the entire cycle of technology commercialization, including AI technology transfer, technology consulting (ILP program), customized financial consultations, and M&A support.
Approximately 200 participants, including representatives from small and venture businesses interested in technology transfer and the introduction of promising technologies, as well as officials from related technology transfer organizations, attended the event. A total of 22 public research institutes-including the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information, Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, Sookmyung Women's University, and Pusan National University-participated in the technology transfer seminar, presenting a total of 100 promising technologies. Participating companies received one-on-one technology consultations as well as customized financial support consultations from Kibo.
Additionally, ILP (Industry Liaison Program) consultations in the "One Point Lesson" format were conducted in collaboration with KAIST researchers to help SMEs solve technological challenges. Individual M&A consultations were also provided through the public-private partnership-based M&A platform operated by Kibo.
Kibo expects that this event will help discover promising AI technologies from public research institutes in various industries such as ICT, machinery, and environment, and contribute to strengthening the technology-driven industrial ecosystem and expanding the growth foundation for SMEs.
