Dongducheon City in Gyeonggi Province, led by Mayor Park Hyungdeok, successfully held the 28th Dongducheon Mayor's Table Tennis Tournament at the National Sports Center on the 22nd.

View original imageThis tournament brought together table tennis enthusiasts from seven cities and counties, including Dongducheon, Yeoncheon, Yangju, Gapyeong, Cheorwon, and Pocheon, providing an opportunity for exchange and further promoting interregional sports communication.
The competition was organized in a divisional league format, with athletes showcasing their skills in a variety of events, including men's and women's team events, singles, and doubles, resulting in high-level matches throughout the tournament.
In the men's team events: Deokjeong Table Tennis Club and the team of Shin Hyoseop, Kim Minseong, and Singok shared first place in the Premier to Division 6 category; Singok Table Tennis Club and Yangju Impact Club shared first place in Division 6 to 9A; Jeongok Table Tennis Club and Doodream Table Tennis Club shared first place in Division 6 to 9B. In the women's team events: Singok Table Tennis Club and Yunhanmi Table Tennis Club B shared first place in Division 6 to 9.
In the men's singles: Kim Ire took first place in Premier to Division 5; Jeong Yunsik in Division 6; Kim Jinho and Kwon Ojun shared first place in Division 7; Lim Hyunsoo and Seo Seongjung shared first place in Division 8; Lee Sangmin in Division 9; and Kim Junyoung in the Hope division. In the women's singles: Jeon Dayoung and An Sujin shared first place in Division 6; Park Mi-ae and Han Seungi shared first place in Division 7; Lee Taehui in Division 8; Ra Sollim in Division 9; and Park Yuhee in the Hope division.
In the men's doubles: Ahn Youngjun and Jo Yumin, as well as Lim Gyuhyeok and Lee Seokmin, shared first place in Premier to Division 5; Lee Byungwook and Park Jaehyun, and Lee Hyunhee and Jeong Hayoon shared first place in Division 6/7; Lee Sangmin and Choi Jaeseop took first place in Division 8/9. In the women's doubles: Han Seungi and Kim Miyeon, and Kim Younghee and Lee Taehui shared first place in Division 6 to 9.
Mayor Park Hyungdeok stated, "I hope this tournament, which brought together table tennis enthusiasts from seven cities and counties, will serve as a platform for exchange and harmony. Thanks to the dedication of all participants until the very end, the event was able to conclude successfully."
