GKL Selected as a Recognized Company for Community Contribution for 7 Consecutive Years
Achieved Highest Grade for Second Consecutive Year Following Last Year
Also Received Minister of Health and Welfare Award
Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) announced on the 25th that it was awarded the Minister of Health and Welfare Award and was selected as a recognized company for community contribution for the seventh consecutive year at the "Community Contribution Recognition Day" event, organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Association of Social Welfare Centers.
The Community Contribution Recognition System has been in place since 2019, encouraging companies and institutions that have contributed to solving local community issues in cooperation with local non-profit organizations, under the supervision of the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Association of Social Welfare Centers. It comprehensively evaluates the achievements and outcomes of social contribution activities linked to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management.
GKL received high marks for its social contribution activities that strengthen the foundation for sustainable growth in the community, such as the "GKL Sharing Closet" for spreading a resource recycling ecosystem, the "GKL Spread Dream" program providing tailored learning guidance for youth from underprivileged educational backgrounds, and the "GKL ON Support Project" for systematic support of mutually beneficial startups and venture companies. As a result, GKL achieved the highest grade (S) for the second consecutive year, following last year.
