Fine Dust Levels at 'Bad' Status
On Tuesday, November 25, most regions across the country are expected to experience rain or snow accompanied by thunder and lightning.

View original imageAccording to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the expected precipitation is 5 to 20 millimeters for the mountainous areas and east coast of Gangwon, as well as Ulleungdo and Dokdo; 5 to 15 millimeters for the Seoul metropolitan area, inland Gangwon, Chungcheong region, and North Jeolla; 5 to 10 millimeters for Gwangju, South Jeolla, and Jeju Island; and around 5 millimeters for the Gyeongsang region. In the high mountains of northern Gangwon (over 1,000 meters above sea level) and Jeju Island, 1 to 5 centimeters of snow is expected to accumulate, while the high mountains of central and southern Gangwon and eastern North Jeolla may see around 1 centimeter of snow.
Fine dust concentrations are forecast to reach 'bad' levels in the Seoul metropolitan area, western Gangwon, Chungcheong, and Honam, while other regions are expected to remain at 'moderate' levels. For ultrafine dust, concentrations will reach 'very bad' levels in the morning in the Seoul metropolitan area, western Gangwon, Chungcheong, and Honam, while eastern Gangwon, Yeongnam, and Jeju Island will see 'bad' levels.
As of 5 a.m., the temperatures in major cities are as follows: Seoul 8.3°C, Incheon 8.9°C, Suwon 5.8°C, Chuncheon 1.8°C, Gangneung 9.7°C, Cheongju 8.1°C, Daejeon 8.0°C, Jeonju 7.9°C, Gwangju 10.2°C, Jeju 14.4°C, Daegu 4.5°C, Busan 11.4°C, Ulsan 7.6°C, and Changwon 9.2°C. The daytime high temperatures are forecast to range from 9°C to 14°C.

Wave heights are expected to reach 0.5 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea, 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the South Sea. In the offshore areas (up to about 200 kilometers from the coastline), wave heights will be 1.0 to 4.0 meters in the East and South Seas, and 1.5 to 4.5 meters in the West Sea.
