GC Green Cross Earns Overall 'A Grade' in KCGS ESG Evaluation
GC Green Cross announced on November 24 that it has received an upgraded 'A grade' in the '2025 KCGS ESG Evaluation' conducted by the Korea ESG Standards Institute (KCGS), moving up one level from the previous year.
KCGS annually announces ESG ratings by comprehensively evaluating the sustainability management level of domestic listed companies in three categories: Environmental, Social, and Governance.
In this evaluation, GC Green Cross's overall rating was raised due to positive recognition of its efforts to improve quantitative performance and strengthen information disclosure in the environmental sector, as well as institutional improvements in the governance sector.
In the environmental sector, the company established concrete action plans such as mid- to long-term carbon neutrality goals and implementation strategies, as well as a board-level climate change response system. In particular, the expansion of quantitative, indicator-based environmental achievements was a major factor in the improved rating.
In the social sector, GC Green Cross operated safety and health education programs for employees and partners and established indicators to measure their effectiveness. In addition, the company established policies to prevent unfair trade and anti-competitive practices, and conducted compliance training tailored to each job function, thereby strengthening its management system.
In the governance sector, the establishment of the Outside Director Candidate Recommendation Committee and the Audit Committee helped to refine the governance system and enhance transparency, which was positively evaluated and contributed to the improved rating.
Kim Sungyeol, Head of Management at GC Green Cross, stated, "Going forward, we will continue to strengthen GC Green Cross's ESG standards by focusing on key areas such as human rights management, supply chain management, and the protection of minority shareholder rights."
