Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province has drafted a budget proposal of 1.284 trillion won for next year. This represents a 0.5% increase compared to this year’s main budget.

View original imageIn her policy address, Mayor Kim stated, "Despite economic slowdown, tax revenue shortfalls, and unstable political circumstances, Anseong has continued to move forward for regional development," adding, "We will keep advancing without pause to become the central city of the inland region of central Korea."
The budget proposal for next year consists of 1.1 trillion won for the general account and 184 billion won for special accounts.
Mayor Kim explained that the focus of next year’s budget operation is on ▲economic innovation ▲transition to renewable energy ▲expansion of the resident population.
By sector, the proposed budget includes: ▲health and welfare 432.3 billion won ▲culture, tourism, and industry 130.8 billion won ▲agriculture 117.7 billion won ▲education and sports 54.6 billion won ▲safety 12 billion won ▲urban and environment 158 billion won ▲roads and transportation 82.9 billion won.
The city’s key initiatives for next year include: ▲fostering regional strategic industries such as semiconductors, food, and manufacturing ▲establishing an energy-independent city based on RE100 ▲expanding the resident population through systems such as the 'Anseong On Citizen' program ▲strengthening care services including health, welfare, housing, and medical care ▲expanding cultural spaces and stay-type tourism content in daily life ▲promoting child-friendly city projects and lifelong learning city initiatives ▲reinforcing the rural economy by building an integrated food support center ▲constant inspection of high-risk facilities and expansion of safety infrastructure ▲enhancing road and transportation environments for citizens’ convenience.
