Contributing to Global Water Security with Advanced Hydrological Survey Technologies
The Korea Water Resources Investigation Technology Institute (President: Lee Younggi, hereinafter referred to as the Institute) announced on the 24th that it participated in the "Korea International Water Week (KIWW) 2025," which was held at EXCO in Daegu from November 12 to 14.

View original imageUnder the theme "Smart Innovation for a Shared Water Future," the Institute operated a promotional booth, a joint booth for the Global Water Security ODA Forum, and sessions such as "The Future of Integrated Water Management as Seen by the 2030 Generation."
Main activities included promoting the Institute's self-developed KIHS-BUDDY (a wireless boat for hydrological surveys), sharing KIHS R&D achievements, introducing sediment measurement technology using pumping systems, presenting the introduction of advanced survey equipment and data quality management systems for climate crisis response, and sharing achievements in technological and informational exchanges with global water resources organizations.
In addition, the 2030 Advisory Panel session, under the theme "The Future of Integrated Water Management as Seen by the Young Generation in the Era of Climate Crisis," featured presentations on topics such as the climate crisis and water, and sustainable society and water, as well as a talk concert between young people and water experts.

Through its participation in this year's Korea International Water Week, the Institute actively promoted advanced hydrological survey technologies for climate crisis response, provided a platform for communication with domestic and international water experts and citizens, and plans to continue contributing to global water security through ongoing technology development and international cooperation.
