The festival will open on November 28, with the official lighting ceremonies scheduled for 5:00 p.m. at Haenuri Fountain Square on the same day and 5:30 p.m. on December 2 in front of “Salon de Paris” at Paris Park.
The main venue, Paris Park, will feature themed illuminated sculptures such as snowmen, a family of deer, the Eiffel Tower, and Yangcheon District’s character “Bolbbangbbang Haewoori.” These will be complemented by LED galaxies, snowflake lighting effects, and icicle LED lights on the outdoor stage, transforming the entire park into a dazzling space of light. The “BicheNara” light arch gate, a red horse sculpture symbolizing the New Year, and a luminaire castle reminiscent of Frozen will further spark the imagination, offering unique memories for families and visitors alike.
During the festival, “Salon de Paris” in Paris Park will also host Christmas cultural experience programs such as making rattan light garlands, tree ornaments, and music boxes. Residents wishing to participate can register in advance through the Yangcheon District Lifelong Learning Portal. At Haenuri Fountain Square near Sinjeongnegeori, a 7-meter-tall giant tree, snowman sculptures, and a starlit path using trees will create a three-dimensional nighttime landscape.
The lighting ceremonies will feature illumination performances and musical acts, further enhancing the winter night atmosphere. The district plans to actively promote Paris Park and Haenuri Fountain Square as major winter nighttime attractions through the Vichenara Festival.
