BNK Financial Group Earns A Grade in KCGS ESG Integrated Rating
BNK Financial Group announced on November 21 that it has received an A grade for the fourth consecutive year in the integrated ESG rating from the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability (KCGS), as published in the '2025 KCGS ESG Evaluation and Rating Announcement.'
In particular, BNK Financial Group explained that achieving an A+ grade for three consecutive years in the Social (S) category is a recognition of the tangible results of its ongoing efforts in regional coexistence and inclusive finance as a regionally based financial institution, which align with the direction of government policy.
In the Environmental (E) category, the group also received an A+ grade for the second consecutive year. BNK Financial Group has strengthened its climate change response system by advancing its financial emissions measurement system and ESG data platform, setting reduction targets based on SBTi, and expanding green finance. Additionally, the group is gradually introducing a nature capital risk management system based on TNFD, thereby enhancing its capacity to assess climate and environmental risks.
In the Governance (G) category, BNK Financial Group maintained its A grade by upholding a transparent board-centered decision-making system, strengthening internal controls and compliance management, and advancing a sustainability management system that meets international standards.
