Korea Tourism Organization Designated as 'Community Contribution Recognized Institution' with A+ Grade
The Korea Tourism Organization announced on November 21 that it has been designated as a recognized institution after receiving an A+ grade in the "Community Contribution Recognition System," which is jointly organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea National Council on Social Welfare.
The Community Contribution Recognition System is an official evaluation program for organizations' social contribution activities. It comprehensively reviews the level of ESG management practices, cooperation with non-profit organizations, and the outcomes of social contribution efforts to select recognized institutions.
This year, the Korea Tourism Organization participated in the evaluation for the first time and achieved the highest level (Level 5) in all three areas-Environment (E), Social (S), and Governance (G)-across seven categories. In particular, the organization received a perfect score in the governance category due to its outstanding information disclosure performance. The Korea Tourism Organization is currently operating travel programs for vulnerable groups through tourism, supporting the revitalization of local festivals, and promoting digital tourism resident ID projects in areas with declining populations.
