Culture Committee Subcommittee Passes Bill Imposing Fines Up to 50 Times for Illegal Resale of Performance Tickets
"NunuTV Blocking Act" Also Passes Subcommittee
The amendment to the Performing Arts Promotion Act, which imposes fines for the illegal resale of performance tickets, passed the Culture and Arts Legislation Review Subcommittee of the National Assembly's Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee on November 20.
The amendment prohibits the illegal purchase and resale of performance tickets and establishes a legal basis for imposing fines of up to 50 times the transaction amount for violations. Previously, on November 18, the Sports and Tourism Legislation Review Subcommittee of the same committee passed a similar measure imposing fines of up to 50 times the transaction amount for the illegal resale of sports event tickets.
