Gyeongbuk TP Holds AI Convergence Forum to Promote Regional AX Leading Models... 'AI/DX Technology Experience and Business Achievements' Verified
Sharing AI Adoption and Technology Validation Achievements by Specialized Industries in Gumi, Pohang, and Gyeongsan
Linked with Daegu International Machinery Industry Expo
Promoting Key Achievements Based on AI and DX
Gyeongbuk Technopark (President: Ha Inseong, Gyeongbuk TP) announced on November 20 that it held the 'Gyeongbuk Industrial AI Convergence Conference' at Daegu EXCO.
This conference was organized as a linked program to the DAMEX 2025 DX Special Pavilion, which has been operating since November 18. It aimed to share the achievements of AI and DX adoption by local manufacturing companies and to foster an AX ecosystem through the dissemination of AI technology.
The event consisted of an interim report on industrial AI adoption consulting and proof-of-concept (PoC) demonstrations, as well as the Gyeongbuk Industrial AI Convergence Conference. It focused on presentations of AI PoC demonstration results by manufacturing companies in the region’s specialized industries (Gumi: Electronic IT Convergence, Pohang: Advanced Materials, Gyeongsan: Mobility), and discussed strategic directions for the adoption of AI by local manufacturers.
In the morning session, participants included Handuk Co., Ltd. (formerly Onface SDC, solution provider: Dtriple Co., Ltd.) from Gumi; IsOn (solution providers: ISTNAMES Co., Ltd., GST Co., Ltd., and Corechips Co., Ltd.) from Pohang; and Dongwon Metal Co., Ltd. (solution providers: Ecoface Co., Ltd. and Zenis Information Technology Co., Ltd.) from Gyeongsan. They presented their AI-based process data demonstration results and improvement effects.
These were introduced as key achievements of the AI adoption consulting and PoC project being promoted by the Gyeongbuk Industrial DX Collaboration Support Center in 2025.
The afternoon session featured presentations on topics such as strategic responses of local companies to government industrial AX policies, a special lecture on AI Agent-based autonomous manufacturing, Physical AI & MachineGPT, process innovation cases at semiconductor partner SMEs through AX, and 'Start Small, Scale Fast: AI Retrofit Strategies for Manufacturing.' The latest AI manufacturing technologies and case studies were introduced.
Notably, this conference is significant in that it is linked to the DX Special Pavilion program operated by Gyeongbuk TP within the DAME 2025 exhibition hall, allowing local companies to experience AI and DX technologies firsthand in the field and directly verify business outcomes.
The DX Special Pavilion presents the achievements of the Gyeongbuk Industrial DX Collaboration Support Center and proposes new DX and AX paradigms for the manufacturing industry.
