Six selected local governments, including Yeongyang County, participated: Yeoncheon County, Jeongseon County, Cheongyang County, Sunchang County, Shinan County, and Namhae County.
During the meeting, participants discussed practical policy operation measures such as the direction of the pilot project council's management, the discovery of region-specific models, and the establishment of a local currency circulation system. They also specified the future direction for project implementation.
County Governor Oh Dochang stated, "Rural basic income is a core policy for maintaining rural populations and revitalizing local economies, and cooperation among the selected local governments is more important than anything else," adding, "Based on the preparatory experience Yeongyang County has proactively accumulated, we will work together with other local governments to create a new standard model for rural Korea."
