Dalseo District in Daegu (Mayor Taehun Lee) announced on November 20 that it has once again received the Grand Prize, the highest national rating, in the “2025 Public Child Abuse Response System Operation Evaluation” conducted by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
Dalseo District is the only local government in the country to have won the Grand Prize four times from 2020, when public child abuse investigations began, through 2025. The district has thus firmly established itself as a leading city for child protection in South Korea.

Dalseo District achieved outstanding results in the nationwide evaluation, earning consistently high marks across all categories.
The district has ensured continuity and professionalism in public investigations by operating specialized positions for child abuse investigations and expanding support for dedicated personnel.
In addition, through close cooperation with Dalseo Police Station, Seongseo Police Station, the Southern Child Protection Agency, and seven designated medical institutions, Dalseo District has established the “Dalseo-style Child Protection Project,” strengthening systems for proactive prevention and early intervention.
In particular, building on its unique regional identity as a “community childcare center where children have been raised together since the prehistoric era 20,000 years ago,” Dalseo District has continuously carried out positive parenting campaigns and educational activities to create a safe environment free from the risk of child abuse throughout the entire district.
