Jirisan Hamyang Market Selected to Participate in November Onnuri Gift Certificate Refund Event
Refunds for Customers Purchasing Domestic Seafood
Jirisan Hamyang Market in South Gyeongsang Province has been selected as one of nine markets in the region to participate in the "November Onnuri Gift Certificate Refund Event" promoted by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries.
According to Hamyang County on November 20, this selection is seen as a reflection of the achievements made by Jirisan Hamyang Market through collaboration between the merchants' association and the local government, efforts to improve customer-oriented services, and the implementation of various revitalization programs. In particular, the recent steady increase in visits from local residents and tourists, which has strengthened the competitiveness of the traditional market, was also cited as a positive factor.
The Onnuri Gift Certificate Refund Event operates by refunding a portion of the purchase amount to consumers who buy a certain amount or more with Onnuri gift certificates at Jirisan Hamyang Market.
The budget allocated to Hamyang County for this event is 30 million won. Consumers who purchase 34,000 won or more of domestic seafood will receive a 10,000 won refund, and those who purchase 67,000 won or more will receive up to 20,000 won in Onnuri gift certificates. Participation in this event is expected to not only encourage the use of traditional markets, but also help boost sales for local small businesses and revitalize the local commercial district.
A representative of Jirisan Hamyang Market stated, "We are very pleased and grateful to be named as one of only nine markets selected in South Gyeongsang Province for this valuable opportunity. We will continue to work together with our merchants to create a traditional market that customers want to visit."
Hamyang County also expressed, "We hope this refund event will serve as a meaningful opportunity for Jirisan Hamyang Market to regain its vitality and to invigorate the local economy."
