The launch of Gyeonggi Climate Satellite No.1 (GYEONGGISat-1) has been postponed again to the 27th of this month (Korea Standard Time) due to local circumstances in the United States.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 20th that, due to local circumstances involving SpaceX, the satellite launch provider, the launch of Gyeonggi Climate Satellite No.1 has been rescheduled from 3:18 a.m. on the 21st to 3:18 a.m. on the 27th.
Gyeonggi Climate Satellite No.1 is scheduled to be launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, United States. The climate satellite is equipped with optical instruments to detect changes in urban areas and ecosystems within the Gyeonggi region.
