4by4 Collaborates with Fuji TV... Completes Technical Validation in Japan
On November 19, 2025, 4by4, a content artificial intelligence (AI) solutions provider, announced that it is rapidly expanding technical validation and partnerships with major Japanese broadcasting and media companies by participating in InterBee 2025, Japan’s largest broadcasting and equipment exhibition.
In October, 4by4 signed a memorandum of understanding with Fuji Television Network and successfully completed a proof of concept (PoC) for AI remastering and automated upscaling of Fuji TV’s broadcast archive footage.
Fuji TV evaluated that the image enhancement and upscaling results of 4by4’s AI solution, PIXELL, met the standards required for broadcast transmission. Based on this, Fuji TV has entered the review phase for applying the solution to its internal systems.
4by4 is also conducting a next-generation VR video quality enhancement PoC with SoftBank. The PIXELL solution provided video quality improvement and device optimization features for SoftBank’s ongoing VR video quality enhancement project. It has reportedly received positive feedback from SoftBank. The PIXELL solution is currently undergoing technical validation at SoftBank, and discussions are underway regarding its official adoption.
4by4’s collaboration with Japanese local companies was made possible through the Global AI Business Cooperation Support Program by the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA).
Yoon Junho, CEO of 4by4, stated, “Thanks to the government’s active support, we were able to quickly validate our technology and expand partnerships with Japanese companies. As interest in the PIXELL solution is rapidly growing in Japan, we will continue to expand our cooperative relationships in the broadcasting, media, and VR sectors.”
