HiteJinro Unveils Digital Ad for "Terra" Parodying "Chicken Gathering"

Sequel to "The Era of Terra," imagining a world filled with Terra
HiteJinro announced on November 18 that it has released a new digital advertisement for its beer brand "Terra" titled "The Era of Terra 2." The company parodied the "Chimaek (chicken and beer) gathering" of Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, Lee Jae-yong, Chairman of Samsung Electronics, and Chung Eui-sun, Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group, from Terra's perspective.
This advertisement is a fast advertising project that completed the storyboard in just three days, followed by five days of filming preparation and post-production, resulting in a finished product in only two weeks. "Fast advertising" refers to a strategy of quickly producing and executing advertising campaigns by leveraging speed and humor in response to trending issues.
The ad pays homage to the chimaek gathering scene, featuring models enjoying Korea's representative beer, Terra, with chicken, and creating a "Terra Somaek Tower" to mix somaek (soju and beer). Notably, the commercial was filmed at the actual meeting location, "Kkanbu Chicken Samsung Branch," to enhance its authenticity.
Oh Sungtaek, Executive Director of Marketing at HiteJinro, stated, "This advertisement is a fast advertising project executed swiftly to sustain the global buzz around Terra," adding, "We will continue various marketing activities to naturally connect the brand's imaginative appeal with topicality, ensuring that the 'Era of Terra' is once again imprinted on consumers."

Meanwhile, the first installment of "The Era of Terra" (2022) began with the question, "What would happen if the entire world was filled with Terra?" It showcased grand imaginative scenarios, such as drawing beer from the Han River or bathing in beer hot springs. The second installment, "The Era of Terra 2," is a sequel that brings those imaginations closer to reality, expanding the Terra universe into everyday life.
