BC Card and Perplexity Launch Comet Browser in Korea, Strengthening 'AI Management'
AI Browser Promotion for Customers Until December 7
BC Card announced on the 18th that it will promote the adoption of the global artificial intelligence (AI) search platform, Perplexity AI Browser Comet, in Korea.
Comet is a web browser equipped with the Perplexity AI engine. Its key feature is enabling users to automatically summarize websites, documents, news, emails, and academic papers, as well as explore related materials, through the browser's AI agent.
BC Card will run a Paybook event page until December 7 to help Comet gain traction in Korea. As part of the promotion, every customer who downloads Comet will receive 5,000 won in Paybook Money, which can be used like cash at all online and offline merchants through Paybook.
Choi Minseok, Executive Director at BC Card, said, "We are pleased to continuously offer customers access to the latest AI services through our partnership with Perplexity," adding, "We will continue to provide practical services through Paybook that support our customers' payment and consumption experiences in the future."
Jun Morita, Head of Perplexity Asia, stated, "In Japan and other Asian countries, the use of generative AI for work and learning is rapidly increasing," and added, "Through Comet, we hope to deliver the convenience of turning ideas into action instantly to even more customers."
