The Department of Sports ICT Convergence at Sangmyung University announced on November 18 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Sports Job Alio.

View original imageThis agreement aims to enhance the outcomes of the Graduate School of Sports Industry Convergence program, which Sangmyung University has been promoting since 2023, and to foster professionals in the field of sports ICT convergence.
Through the agreement, the two organizations have agreed to cooperate in the following areas: joint research on educational methods for nurturing professionals in sports ICT convergence; consulting for the development and revision of curricula; and information exchange and operation of field training programs to strengthen practical competencies.
The Department of Sports ICT Convergence at Sangmyung University was selected in 2023 for the Graduate School of Sports Industry Convergence program, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation.
Since its selection, the department has developed separate curricula for the A (Artificial Intelligence), B (Big Data), and C (Convergence) courses, and has been operating Career-Up (employment) and Start-Up (entrepreneurship) tracks.
Kim Donggeun, Head of the Department of Sports ICT Convergence, explained, "If the academy management experience and extensive employment network of Sports Job Alio are integrated into our department's education, we will be able to provide students with a wider range of career opportunities."

Meanwhile, the master's program at the Department of Sports ICT Convergence at Sangmyung University Graduate School, supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, offers all new students a full government scholarship for four semesters.
