Busan Office of Education Launches International Exchange Youth Volunteer Group for Overseas Educational Service Activities
Delivering the 'K' Experience to Schools in Vietnam, Japan, and the United States
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Seokjun) announced on November 18 that the '2025 International Exchange Youth Volunteer Group,' comprised of 42 high school students, began educational volunteer activities in three countries, including Hanoi, Vietnam, from November 17 to 23.
The youth volunteer group is carrying out project activities to enhance their international communication skills by visiting local educational institutions in cooperation with Korean Education Centers in each country, introducing the Korean language and Korean culture. This volunteer group is conducting educational volunteer activities in collaboration with the Korean Education Centers in Hanoi, Vietnam; Osaka, Japan; and Chicago, United States.
At local schools, the group will offer activities using Korean songs and games, as well as various Korean cultural experience programs such as hanbok, traditional games, K-pop, and Korean food. In addition, they will conduct a variety of cultural exchange activities to broaden mutual understanding and cooperation through team activities, cultural sharing, and friendship exchange programs with local youth.

Superintendent Kim Seokjun stated, "The activities of this International Exchange Youth Volunteer Group are meaningful in promoting the Korean language and culture worldwide, and will serve as a valuable opportunity for students to grow as global citizens." He added, "The city education office will actively support youth international exchange activities."
