Gyeonggi Province Recruiting Households for Next Year's Family Care Program for Individuals with the Most Severe Developmental Disabilities
Gyeonggi Province will be recruiting 145 households for next year's family care program for individuals with the most severe developmental disabilities until December 2.
Individuals with the most severe developmental disabilities are those who exhibit significant challenging behaviors and have substantial limitations in daily life, requiring integrated care.
Gyeonggi Province is implementing the 360-Degree Care Program, which aims to provide seamless care for all residents in need, anytime, anywhere, and for anyone.
The family care program for individuals with the most severe developmental disabilities is part of the "Anywhere Care" initiative within this broader program.
The beneficiaries of next year's family care program are adults aged 18 or older with developmental disabilities who reside in the province and are in the care blind spot due to not utilizing welfare services such as welfare centers or vocational rehabilitation services.
Gyeonggi Province will provide selected households with 400,000 won per month in family care points for one year, along with continuous monitoring to connect welfare services with the beneficiaries.
For inquiries regarding the application, please contact your local administrative welfare support center or the Gyeonggi-do Comprehensive Support Center for Persons with Disabilities (NURIM) at 031-299-5074, 5067, or 5069.
Kim Hoon, Director of Welfare at Gyeonggi Province, stated, "We expect this program to help alleviate the financial burden on families of individuals with developmental disabilities and serve as a buffer to supplement insufficient public care. We will continue our efforts to ensure that individuals with developmental disabilities can live stably within their communities."
