to Be Held at Seoul Dragon City, Yongsan-gu, on the 18th
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will host the "2025 Culture, Sports and Tourism Artificial Intelligence (AI)·Digital Innovation Forum" on November 18, 2025, at Seoul Dragon City in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The event is co-organized by specialized institutions in the culture, sports, and tourism sectors, including the Korea Culture Information Service Agency, the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, the Korea Tourism Organization, the Arts Council Korea, the Korea Copyright Commission, and the Korea Creative Content Agency.
The AI·Digital Innovation Forum marks its third year in 2025. This year’s theme is "Everyday Life Transformed by Digital, Innovation Driven by AI." The forum will share digital transformation and AI-based innovation cases across the culture, sports, and tourism sectors and discuss directions for developing a digital cultural ecosystem accessible to all. The event will feature an opening ceremony, an awards ceremony for the "2025 Culture Digital Innovation and Data Utilization Contest," a keynote speech, and expert panel discussions in the fields of culture, sports, and tourism. Additionally, a separate exhibition hall will showcase the contest’s award-winning works and representative innovation cases from each institution.
The contest, held from June 2 to July 18, 2025, attracted a total of 223 teams. After a review process, 17 teams were selected as winners (5 Grand Prizes, 5 Excellence Awards, 5 Encouragement Awards, and 2 Special AI Awards). The five Grand Prize teams will receive the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award, and their innovative cases will be shared with forum participants.
The keynote speech at this year’s forum will be delivered by Lee Kyogu, Professor of Intelligence and Information Convergence at Seoul National University. Professor Lee will explore the evolution of voice AI as a new medium for creation and communication in the AI era, covering topics from the latest technological innovations and ethical considerations to the creative potential of shaping experiences through voice in the future.
Following the keynote, expert panel discussions will be held on six AI-related topics across three areas: law and policy, sports and tourism, and arts and content. In the law and policy area, the discussions will focus on cases of cultural data utilization and policy directions, as well as the harmonization of open-source-based AI technologies with the copyright system. In the sports and tourism area, presentations will cover cases of using sports technology to promote public health and enhance athletic performance, as well as innovative services in the sports and tourism industries such as AI travel assistants and real-time translation. In the arts and content area, the panels will discuss collaboration between AI and artistic creation, new creative methods, and introduce AI case studies in various content fields, including broadcast music.
In the separate experience zone, attendees can engage with AI and digital technologies through activities such as digital rock climbing, indoor cycling, and creating personalized AI fragrances. The exhibition will also feature contest-winning works and displays of open-source shared and public domain works, including CreativeMut’s "Proto Hologram" and Cloudio’s "Gugak Virtual Instrument - Joseon Series."
