The company released an official statement in the name of CEO Park Sangshin, saying, "We sincerely pray for the deceased and offer our deepest condolences to the bereaved family members who are enduring unbearable grief."

Meanwhile, although it was initially reported that the accident occurred at 8:39 a.m. on November 17 'during work,' this has been confirmed to be incorrect. A DL E&C representative stated, "The terms 'worker' and 'laborer' used in some reports are inaccurate; the deceased was indeed a 'crew member' belonging to a subcontractor. Furthermore, the accident did not occur 'during work,' but rather after all of the crew member's tasks had been completed, under circumstances of unknown cause. The exact cause and details of the accident are currently under investigation."
