View original imageThe special prosecutor's team led by Cho Eunseok, which is investigating the rebellion and treason cases related to the December 3 Martial Law Incident, has conducted a search and seizure of Yoon Jaesoon, former Secretary-General of the Presidential Office. The investigation is based on suspicions that he was involved in personnel appointments at the Presidential Office prior to the declaration of martial law.
According to legal sources on November 17, the special prosecutor's team executed a search and seizure at the residence of the former secretary-general on this day.
Yoon Jaesoon is reportedly a suspect under investigation for abuse of authority and obstruction of the exercise of rights, in connection with personnel appointments at the Presidential Office that took place before the December 3 Martial Law Incident.
He is also suspected of having ordered the initialization of Presidential Office PCs, allegedly instructing staff to "dispose of them in a steel mill blast furnace" in preparation for the possible impeachment of former President Yoon Sukyeol. However, it is understood that the search and seizure conducted on this day is related to the abuse of authority concerning personnel appointments, and is separate from the allegations regarding PC initialization.
