Suksom Island, South Jeolla’s First Private Garden, Revamps Website to Boost Tourism
Enhancing Convenience and Immersion for Tourists
Effectively Showcasing Suksom Island’s Unique Features Online
Goheung County in South Jeolla Province announced that Suksom Island, known as South Jeolla’s first private garden, has completely revamped its website to strengthen digital tourism content.
This renewal was undertaken to enhance convenience and immersion for tourists, and to effectively convey Suksom Island’s emotional brand and unique characteristics online.
The newly developed website features a responsive design, providing an optimized user experience across various devices such as PCs, tablets, and mobile phones. The content has been reorganized to focus on essential information including admission fees, location, transportation, and operating hours, while real-time communication has been enhanced through a frequently asked questions section and the AI chatbot “Suksomjigi Bot.”
The website also offers digital docent content that combines audio and text explanations with a map image highlighting the island’s main attractions, further enriching the visitor experience.
Additionally, a GPT-powered, natural language AI chatbot has been introduced to answer a wide range of real-time questions, including travel information, seasonal sightseeing recommendations, and usage tips. Visual content and regular card news, capturing the scenery and sentiment of Suksom Island, continuously convey its natural beauty and emotional appeal. An English-language page has also been newly added for the convenience of international visitors.
This renewal was carried out as part of the Tourism Enterprise Innovation Voucher Project. The design and content, reflecting the authenticity of the operators who have cultivated Suksom Island’s natural gardens, are expected to leave a lasting impression on visitors.
A Suksom Island representative stated, “Through digital transformation, we aim to share the beauty and philosophy of Suksom Island with more people,” adding, “We will continue to expand our content so that visitors can experience the island’s atmosphere and healing qualities online as well.”
