BGF Retail announced on the 17th that its convenience store chain CU will launch 10 menu items that reinterpret representative local Hawaiian foods as convenience store snacks to commemorate the opening of its first store in Hawaii, USA, on the 12th (local time).
First, six types of Hawaiian local dishes, including Loco Moco and Musubi, will be recreated as ready-to-eat meals. The signature item, Hawaiian Loco Moco, is a lunch box featuring a juicy hamburger steak topped with a fried egg, capturing the flavors of a classic Hawaiian home-cooked meal. The Spam Musubi is a Hawaiian-style rice ball with a thick slice of Spam placed on top of rice and wrapped in seaweed.

For dessert, the Salt Brownie combines a sweet brownie with a touch of salt and a chewy texture. The Double Macaron comes in a set of two, featuring salty caramel cream, macadamia nut pieces, and vanilla cream.
Promotional benefits are also available. When purchasing any of the eight Hawaiian ready-to-eat meals and desserts using Toss Pay account or money by the end of this month, customers can receive up to a 30% discount.
In addition, CU will launch the 'Aloha Fresh Lemon Lager Beer,' which features a refreshing flavor with real lemon pieces, and the 'Giwon Rum Cask Hawaii Edition,' a collaboration with Giwon, a whiskey distillery, marking the first partnership of its kind in the industry.
