On November 16, President Lee Jaemyung will meet with the heads of major business groups to discuss the results of the South Korea-U.S. customs and security negotiations, specifically the "Joint Fact Sheet."

President Lee will hold a follow-up public-private joint meeting regarding the South Korea-U.S. customs negotiations at 2 p.m. that day at the presidential office in Yongsan, Seoul.

The meeting will be attended by Lee Jae-yong, Chairman of Samsung Electronics; Chey Tae-won, Chairman of SK Group; Chung Euisun, Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group; Koo Kwang-mo, Chairman of LG Group; Chung Ki-sun, Chairman of HD Hyundai; Seo Jung-jin, Chairman of Celltrion; and Yeo Seung-joo, Vice Chairman of Hanwha Group, totaling seven participants.

At the meeting, President Lee is expected to explain the details of the South Korea-U.S. customs negotiations and the subsequent procedures, while also seeking input from the business leaders.

Since the fact sheet covers the main business sectors of the participating companies-including automobiles, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, and defense industry-it is anticipated that discussions will focus on the impact of the agreement on each respective market.

President Lee is also expected to express his gratitude to the companies for supporting the government during the negotiations, and to emphasize the importance of continued public-private cooperation as a "one team" in responding to changes in the trade environment.

Topics such as the six major structural reform tasks officially announced by President Lee-regulations, finance, public sector, pensions, education, and labor-as well as issues related to domestic investment and job creation, may also be brought up during the meeting.

Additionally, as President Lee is scheduled to depart the following day to attend the Group of Twenty (G20) summit, there may be discussions regarding economic cooperation with the countries he will visit.
