On the 14th, the People Power Party criticized the joint customs and security fact sheet released by South Korea and the United States, calling it a "blank sheet, not a fact sheet." Regarding the prosecution's decision to withdraw its appeal in the Daejangdong case, the party continued its offensive, stating, "The Daejangdong Gate is the Lee Jaemyung Gate."

Jang Donghyuk, leader of the People Power Party, criticized President Lee Jaemyung's finalization of the fact sheet at the "On-Site Meeting Condemning the Withdrawal of the Appeal on Daejangdong Development Corruption" held at Seongnam Urban Development Corporation on this day. He said, "This is a trade agreement by Trump, for Trump, and of Trump, in which everything was conceded to the United States as it wished," adding, "It even feels as if it was hastily prepared to cover up the Daejangdong scandal."

Jang continued, "President Lee said that during the negotiation process, he felt pressured internally to 'hurry up' and that it was difficult to withstand the obstruction. Such remarks reflect an inappropriate mindset that shifts the responsibility for the negotiation’s failure onto internal pressure and political strife."

He also pointed out the lack of specific details regarding the 350 billion dollar investment in the United States. He said, "There is not a single explanation about the need to provide 200 billion dollars of the 350 billion dollars in cash, how to raise 20 billion dollars annually, how to prevent the depletion of foreign reserves, or what safety measures are in place in case of investment losses."

Regarding the omission of the nuclear submarine construction site from the fact sheet, he stated, "There is no explanation about the nuclear fuel negotiations, the construction location, or the timeline for operational deployment. There is only a vague declaration to cooperate in establishing detailed requirements," adding, "If domestic construction is the plan, it should be officially included in the document."

Jang criticized the government and the ruling party for claiming that the fact sheet, signed in the form of a memorandum of understanding (MOU), does not require ratification by the National Assembly. He said, "This is a political ploy to cover up the negotiation’s failure, and it is a clear constitutional violation to finalize an agreement that imposes a massive fiscal burden on the public without parliamentary review."

Regarding the prosecution’s withdrawal of its appeal in the Daejangdong case, Jang directly targeted President Lee, reiterating, "The Daejangdong Gate is the Lee Jaemyung Gate." He said, "During the previous presidential election, President Lee repeatedly emphasized in televised debates with candidate Yoon Sukyeol that he would support a special investigation into the Daejangdong case and take full responsibility if the real culprit was revealed, even if he became president. Now is the time for him to take responsibility."

He added, "The Lee Jaemyung administration is trying to shift all responsibility by only accepting the resignation of Acting Prosecutor General Noh Manseok. However, the public will not be deceived," reiterating, "The real culprit is President Lee."

Shin Dongwook, Senior Supreme Council Member, said, "Acting Prosecutor General Noh retired without revealing the process that led to external pressure or who threatened him," adding, "We will make every effort to recover the stolen 740 billion won and restore Daejangdong to a neighborhood known for justice."

Shin Sangjin, Mayor of Seongnam City, announced at the meeting that he plans to file a claim for psychological damages against Minister of Justice Jeong Seongho. Mayor Shin said, "We will proceed with the lawsuit after obtaining the consent of 100,000 people, each claiming 1 million won," adding, "We will form a citizen prosecution group so that citizens can take justifiable self-defense measures on their own, and Seongnam citizens will take the lead in uncovering the full truth behind the prosecution’s withdrawal of the appeal, which resembles the actions of gangsters."

After the meeting, the People Power Party plans to visit several sites in the Daejang district, including the public library construction site, the planned site for expanding sports facilities at the Daejang Reservoir, and the planned site for a small public parking lot, all of which are part of the district’s social infrastructure projects.
