Key figures, including Bae Sungchul, Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs at UNIST, and Park Youngbin, Director of External Relations, attended the event and expressed their gratitude.
This new publication is a work compiled to pass on the experiences and insights accumulated over half a century of business management to the next generation. While his previous autobiography, "Walking the Path Without Milestones," recounted his life journey, this new book gathers the practical wisdom he has drawn from his experiences.
At the ceremony, Honorary Chairman Lee personally explained the thoughts contained in the book. He recalled, "Over 40 years ago, when I started my business in Ulsan, I faced a harsh environment and went through countless trials and errors," and added, "Now, I hope the next generation will face fewer difficulties and be able to take on the global market. In particular, I hope young people will be able to fully pursue their entrepreneurial dreams." He continued, "I hope this book will serve as a milestone for those who take on challenges."
President Park Jongrae responded, "The footsteps of Honorary Chairman Lee will deeply resonate with all members of the university," adding, "In particular, it will greatly empower students and researchers not to hesitate in the face of challenges and to set their own paths." He also emphasized, "UNIST will continue to provide diverse support to establish itself as a hub of the regional startup ecosystem."
Honorary Chairman Lee published this book, which records his journey as an entrepreneur, through Seongandang Publishing on October 29. With this donation, a total of 700 copies have been delivered to UNIST, Ulsan University, Ulsan College, Korea Polytechnic University Ulsan Campus, and Chunhae Health College.
