Uijeongbu Urban Education Foundation and Gyeongin National University of Education Recruit 300 'Neulbom School Citizen Instructors'
Gosan Youth Center of the Uijeongbu Urban Education Foundation (CEO Lee Sung) is launching the 'Neulbom School Instructor Training Autumn Advanced Course' in collaboration with the Neulbom Education Center at Gyeongin National University of Education, and is recruiting 300 Uijeongbu citizens to participate.

View original imageThis training program is part of a project by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity. Under the vision of 'Uijeongbu, the World's Largest Campus,' it aims to create an urban education ecosystem where citizens directly teach and learn.
The training will be held free of charge from November 18 to December 30 at the Imagination Space of Gosan Youth Center. A total of 300 participants will be selected, with 25 people per group in each of the four fields: creative science, culture and arts, social and emotional development, and digital literacy.
The curriculum consists of exploring relevant theories, introducing and practicing learning activities, and program design and feedback. A distinguishing feature is the provision of customized instruction tailored to different experience levels, with separate classes for less-experienced and highly-experienced participants. Citizens who complete the course will be given priority to serve as citizen instructors in programs operated by the foundation and the youth center.
CEO Lee Sung stated, "Lifelong learning led by citizens is a key driving force in expanding the region's learning ecosystem," adding, "I hope that citizens will further develop their capabilities and grow into leaders who bring change to the community."
