Yuhan-Kimberly Chungju Factory Named Outstanding Workplace for Safety Management
The Korea Paper Association announced on November 13 that it had held the "Paper & Pulp Safety and Health Conference" to promote a culture of safety and prevent industrial accidents.

View original imageThe conference was held in Chungju, North Chungcheong Province, for two days starting on November 13, with over 60 safety, health, and site managers from major paper companies across the country in attendance. The purpose was to explore practical measures to prevent industrial accidents and create safer workplaces.
The main programs included: ▲ Awards for outstanding workplaces and meritorious contributors ▲ An explanation of the "Safe Workplace Project" by the Chungju Employment and Labor Office ▲ Discussions to develop industrial accident prevention measures ▲ Presentations of risk assessment case studies. Afterward, participants visited the Yuhan-Kimberly Chungju Factory to observe its safety management system.
In his opening remarks, Hyunsoo Choi, Chairman of the Korea Paper Association, stated, "I feel a heavy sense of responsibility regarding the recent unfortunate accidents occurring in the paper industry," and urged, "Ensuring the life and safety of workers is our highest value. Let us achieve the industry's goal of zero accidents through thorough safety and health education, improvements to the work environment, and the establishment of a strong culture of safety awareness."

Meanwhile, on this day, the Yuhan-Kimberly Chungju Factory, which was selected as an outstanding workplace for safety management, was honored with the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award. The factory was highly praised for strengthening its safety and health management through various safety culture promotion programs and activities to prevent potential safety and health risks among partner companies. In addition, Hyosik Kim, Manager at Clean Country, and Daesu Kim, Manager at Asia Paper, were recognized as outstanding safety managers.
