The "2025 Korea Traditional Liquor Grand Festival," where visitors can taste and experience traditional liquors produced nationwide in one place, will be held.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs announced on November 13 that the 2025 Korea Traditional Liquor Grand Festival will take place at the aT Center in Yangjae-dong, Seoul, for three days from November 14 to 16.
Celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, the Korea Traditional Liquor Grand Festival is a representative event that attracts around 20,000 visitors annually. The festival aims to promote the diversity and value of traditional Korean liquors to consumers and to continuously foster the industry.
This year, a record 122 manufacturers from across the country will participate in the festival. Through various hands-on programs, such as traditional liquor making, both consumers and producers will have the opportunity to enjoy and become more familiar with traditional Korean liquors.
At the opening ceremony on November 14, the first day of the event, there will be an introduction and award presentation for the 18 winning products selected through the previously held traditional liquor quality assessment. A "blind tasting event," where consumers can try to identify the award-winning products among various entries, will also take place.
On November 15 and 16, the "Traditional Liquor Auction Show," where visitors can purchase limited-edition traditional liquors that are usually hard to find, will be held. In addition, industry experts will participate in a liquor industry trend seminar to share insights on domestic and international liquor market trends and to discuss the growth direction and development challenges of the traditional liquor industry. There will also be a public consulting session to strengthen the capabilities of the traditional liquor sector.
