Jung Ki-sun, Chairman of HD Hyundai, visited the HD Hyundai Construction Equipment Global Training Center to encourage the team preparing for the 2026 WorldSkills Competition. This was his first visit to the site as Co-CEO of HD Hyundai Site Solution, the intermediate holding company for the group's construction equipment division. His visit is seen as a signal that he is beginning to focus on field-oriented management.
According to HD Hyundai's social media on November 13, Chairman Jung visited the HD Hyundai Construction Equipment Global Training Center in Eumseong County, Chungbuk, the previous day. The team is undergoing hands-on training programs focused on heavy equipment maintenance, disassembly, and diagnostics to prepare for the global competition. HD Hyundai Construction Equipment is developing the Global Training Center not just as a training venue, but as an 'industrial technology hub' for nurturing technical talent, providing field-based education, and supporting national and international skills competitions.
This visit marks Chairman Jung's first on-site schedule since taking the helm of the construction equipment division. In January next year, the integrated corporation HD Hyundai Construction Equipment, merging HD Hyundai Construction Equipment and HD Hyundai Infracore, will officially launch. As Co-CEO of the intermediate holding company HD Hyundai Site Solution, Chairman Jung plans to complete the integration and accelerate the search for new growth engines in the construction equipment division. In an internal message sent to all employees after his inauguration on October 20, he stated, "By combining the capabilities of both companies, we will establish a global production system and pioneer new markets in India, Brazil, Australia, and beyond."
